Managed People Solutions is looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic for a large Transportation Company based in Linbro Park.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• General mechanical repairs.

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicles/trucks and heavy-duty machinery.

• Inspecting and reporting vehicle faults and defects.
• Test driving vehicles
• Be responsible for all tools and equipment, both your own toolbox and the workshops tools.
• Hang tools up after use.
• Jacking up the vehicles with the safety measures in
• Operating hoist.
• Using hydraulic and power tools with care and safety.
• Cleaning the workshops before leaving.
• Executing all work in a safe manner

• Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Checking vehicle lighting systems.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Matric Certificate
• Valid SETA papers
• (Red Seal / Trade Certificate / N3) and supporting certificates

Skills :

• Excellent diagnostic abilities
• Sound understanding of safety precautions.
• Demonstrated ability to determine causes of errors and good resolution judgment.
• Profound ability to determine what type of tools will be used in which situation.
• Proven ability to detect problems and perform troubleshooting procedures.

Experience:  
3-5 years’ experience as a vehicle mechanic

Other Requirements:
Driver’s License
