Are you passionate about logistics and the liquor industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead our client's distribution operations and ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of their premium products based in Brackenfell, Western Cape.
Responsibilities Include
- Serve as contact persons for all drivers and driver assistance.
- Managing queries effectively.
- Ensure an effective and efficient daily handover of deliveries from the warehouse to the designated driver and driver assistant takes place.
- Ensuring that vehicles are correctly positioned and timeously ready for collection in accordance to distribution daily schedule.
- Ensure that all drivers are in possession of their tablets daily and have their completed paperwork for all deliveries with them before departing the warehouse.
- Actively monitor the driver’s adherence to the delivery schedule and delivery progress using Zeno.
- Report anomalies and deviances from the delivery schedule.
- Monitor the use of vehicles using Point-track.
- Report unauthorized usage.
- Perform daily vehicle checks as per Vehicle check schedule.
- Conduct investigations in cooperation with local traffic departments and/or insurance companies to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures.
- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems pertaining to outbound and reverse logistics.
- Manage the delivery schedule taking into account events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
- Implement and promote safe work activities within the distribution team.
- Ensure distribution team adheres to the dress code with regards to uniforms that needs to be worn and that the driver and driver assistants are always well presented.
- Prepare monthly report from Zeno with regards to deliveries taken place and indicating deviances from schedule.
- Complete vehicle check reports as per vehicle check.
- Manage the Chepp account relating to pallets including setting up transfer hire agreements and managing internal transfers.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Diploma / Degree Distribution Management
- 3-5 years Distribution/ Fleet / Logistics Supervisor within FMCG environment.
- PC proficient (MS office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Driver’s License
