Meridian Wine Merchants is a renowned leader in the wine industry, known for our dedication to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team and drive sales growth in the Cape Town Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the feeding of the sales pipeline. (from MWM reps to Cool Wine's processing and distribution).
- Check stock report and inform all staff of any issue products. Arrange allocation if needed and manage that allocation.
- Regular trade visits with & without staff (FSM’s and Reps) and cold calling.
- Action & communicate any urgent matters that arise on a daily basis.
- Effective Management of Direct reports , Regional Key Accounts , Operations, Sales, Issues, customers, deliveries, all feedback from region, admin, leave and
- Controlling of the allocated budget.
- Mapping potential customers and possible leads.
- Assist with and build client relationships.
- Responsible for cycle briefing, feedback, feedforward and cycle development meetings, roll out and feedback.
- Attending and participating in relevant national meetings.
- Effectively communicate relevant information down.
- Authorize and manage deals, promotional stock, TSA spend, special deliveries, follow up and troubleshoot any difficult customers, situations the reps encounter on a daily basis.
- Manage the top line sales figures for the region.
- Monitor on-hold customers.
- Track performance and measure.
- Analyse the reps sales figures and guide them how/which customers to offer sales strategy.
- In order to reach targets, comparing last year with this year.
- Understand the company strategy in order to keep reps and FSM aligned to the company goals.
- Action operational exception reports.
- Efficiently activate the “Know your customer” strategy, and maintain the data integrity.
Requirements
- Tertiary Education: Diploma/ Degree relating to Sales and Marketing Management.
- 2-3 Years in both on and off con sales consulting
- 5 Years’ experience in FMCG environment within the liquor industry.
