Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Trade Marketing function and team, including the Commercial Analyst and Trade Marketing Coordinator.
  • Responsible for input into the annual A&P budget process, directly managing Trade Marketing channel budgets.
  • Manage Trade Marketing annual budgets with key routines in place to track spend.
  • Take ownership of the planning, budgeting, and implementation processes of trade activity.
  • Develop and maintain quarterly integrated calendars with the marketing and commercial teams.
  • Support the commercial team in delivering effective trade programs across channels to achieve commercial and company objectives.
  • Set up and drive timelines with various stakeholders to ensure the plan is delivered on time and in full (High-Level CPA).
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to create channel-specific activities that drive increased footfall and revenue.
  • Build relationships with chain marketing departments, own in-store media rate cards, and manage bookings for in-store media as needed.
  • Refine and develop in-trade elements and plans aligned with objectives, brand strategies, and budgets.
  • Plan and execute in-store media bookings, online package bookings, and e-commerce initiatives.
  • Advise on trade elements, their design, and target reach.
  • Supply and split reach by rep, guide sales teams with outlet selection criteria, and build reach strategies for various channel activities.
  • Plan and optimize the delivery and kitting plan for all in-trade elements to minimize time out of trade for reps receiving orders.
  • Engage with stakeholders, suppliers, marketing teams, and printers to ensure smooth execution.
  • Attend key routines such as weekly marketing calls and gifting project calls.
  • Prepare quarterly sales toolkits and implementation plans by channel, customized for each chain's quarterly roadshows.
  • Develop quarterly roadshow sell-in slides for consumer campaigns, visibility initiatives, incentives, and NPDs.
  • Create sell-in documents and sales toolkits that define success and best practices for customer engagement.
  • Conduct top-down and bottom-up after-action reviews to assess the success of trade marketing elements, mechanics, and campaigns.
  • Guide the Commercial Analyst in developing tools and processes to improve target achievement.
  • Develop gifting CPAs and provide input into the annual gifting budget as part of A&P.
  • Project manage the gifting initiative in line with key CPA timelines.
  • Develop gifting catalogues for sell-in and listing, customized by chain.
  • Manage the pre-sell process with the sales force and retail chains.
  • Coordinate gifting logistics, including delivery and overpacking, with supply chain and brand managers.
  • Track in-market sales of gifts and measure performance.
  • Create and manage the NPD calendar to ensure timely and effective product launches.
  • Monitor the supply chain PO list for NPDs and potential launch dates.
  • Brief trade presenters and stakeholders to prepare for listings.
  • Develop and maintain merchandising standards, including placement strategies and brand roles within categories.
  • Conduct monthly forecasting to predict year-end sales and revenue.
  • Prepare the Monthly Executive Committee (Exco) KPI Sheet to track progress against key business objectives.
  • Develop projections of annual revenue to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Provide monthly updates on Growth Incentives to ensure effective implementation.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of Rebate Contracts for easy tracking.
  • Perform quarterly rebate calculations to ensure accurate and timely payouts.
  • Develop and maintain an On-Trade TTA (Trading Terms Tracker) to monitor stock deal payouts and sales performance.
  • Assist with ad hoc presentations, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), to support business growth.
  • Set up and brief tracking of Rep Incentives to ensure effective monitoring.
  • Monitor discounts as a percentage of total revenue to manage pricing strategies.
  • Develop the Main Market plan to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Maintain segmentation in master data to enhance marketing and sales strategies.
  • Develop the annual rep resourcing model to optimize the allocation of sales representatives and resources.

 

Requirement and Experience:

  • University degree ideally with specialization in Marketing/Trade Marketing/Economics.
  • 5+ years Brand or Trade marketing experience within international FMCG environment (with 3+ years in senior position).
  • Fluent English, spoken and written.
  • Extensive experiences with trade / BTL marketing projects, cooperation with agencies and project management.
  • Sales and liquor market knowledge as an advantage.
  • Team management, capability building and leadership experiences.
