We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to lead our operations and ensure the highest standards of quality and service. This role combines operational management with significant elements of sales and recruitment to ensure the highest level of service delivery and client satisfaction. This position is based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities Includes

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless candidate placement and support.
  • Train staff on customer service and client management best practices, when required.
  • Contribute towards marketing campaigns and promotions to attract new clients.
  • Oversee the daily operations.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for clients.
  • Conduct interviews and select candidates for various positions within the hospitality and restaurant sectors, as and when required.
  • Oversee onboarding and training programs for new employees.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for clients.
  • Ensure consistent quality in service delivery to clients.
  • Ensure continuous development and up-to-date industry knowledge and competence.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and employment standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of client sites, as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Contribute towards informal succession planning and skills transfer within the Talent team by, adopting a coaching and/or mentorship approach and teaching team members new learnings.
  • Motivate, inspire, and empower team members to foster a positive work environment.
  • Unlock effort and drive a high-performing team.
  • Facilitate open and effective communication and promote cross-functional and cross-company collaboration thereby contributing towards a diverse and productive work environment.
  • Address and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a healthy work environment.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (NQF level 6).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Restaurant Management
  • General understanding of Hospitality Industry.
  • General understanding of Recruitment.
